Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 傳統中國醫學研究所 === 97 === The aim of this study is to assess the voice in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Twenty male patients and eleven male volunteers were enrolled for voice analysis. Subjects were asked to phonating the vowel /a/ and /i/ for 10 seconds by sitting and lying positions. We also identify the patterns of traditional Chinese medicine on patients, and the phlegm pattern (40%) and qi-vacuity with phlegm pattern (35%) were more often. The results of voice analysis revealed there were significant different in formant energy ratio between the two groups (p<0.05). Our results suggest that voice analysis might be a screen tool on obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. However, the sensitivity and feasibility need further evaluation.
