Methods:Logistic regression was performed to assess the association between the year of survey and the self-care behaviors with other potential covariates. Results:Overall, after adjusted other covariates, we found that adults with diabetes in 2005 were significant more likely to engage in self-care behaviors such as taking medication regularly, weight control, reducing smoking and drinking, exercise, diet control, and regular lifestyle. However, there was no significant difference in taking an eye examination for retinopathy between the years of survey. Moreover, there was significant reduction in clinical examination for nephropathy among adults with diabetes in 2005 when compared to adults with diabetes in 2001. Conclusions:Our results highlight that few patients engage in multiple self-care behaviors in both of year survey in 2001 and 2005. Further investigation is needed to explore the underlying cause. C.
