Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 景觀與遊憩研究所 === 97 === In the past, the leisure education, especially as the great efforts invested on the outdoor education activities for elementary school students, was less cautiously reviewed from the perspectives of their parents. The purpose of this research is to explore whether there is any difference for the cognitions of the outdoor education setting attributes and attitudes toward activities among parents with different social-economic backgrounds, as well as if the parents with different cognitions of outdoor education setting attributes will take different attitudes toward outdoor education activities. The research interviewees are randomly selected from the parents located in the central region (of Taiwan), whose kids are first to sixth grade students of the elementary school, as ’97 school year. Altogether 398 copies of questionnaire were sent out and 380 valid copies replied. The effective returns-ratio is 96%.The results per the factor analysis showed that the cognition of the outdoor education setting attributes would include diverse learning, fresh and nature, security and aid, humane exotic and convenience of transportation; the attitudes toward the outdoor education activities would include learning and relaxation, voluntary participation and planned activities. In addition, there are significant differences among the parents of elementary school students with different socio-economic backgrounds as they are interviewed for the cognitions of the outdoor education setting attributes and attitudes toward activities. Moreover, the parents with different cognitions of outdoor education setting attributes will also take significantly different attitudes toward outdoor education activities. The results suggested that in order to help the development of the leisure education for elementary school students, the education authority should provide varied outdoor education setting attributes and activities information to the targeted parents according to their different backgrounds and cognitions.
