The puzzles are the most helpful games for players to learn and think from the game itself. In this study, the technique of image transformation of Max Liu’s paintings is applied. Mr. Liu’s paintings covers kind of primitive art and he shows different culture of aborigine in the world. This study designed chesses of board game according to primitive art which covered and delivered the characteristics of different culture. By doing so, the game is not only the game but also the inheritance of culture. This is also a method to help players realize what primitive art in different country is when they play the board game. This study combined arts and puzzles to develop a new 3D board game and had interviewed some experts of board games. The results shows that the board game designed in this study is more creative and interesting than the original board game and the technique of image transformation can be used on other kind of products design effectively.
