There are various medical image examination systems on the market as of now, but these systems can only be used to project the images and cannot inspect the details of the digitized micro-pathologic images. These scanned images from biopsy procedures takes up a large amount of disk space, sometimes over gigabytes, so the images are not applicable for DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) format. In fact, it is a challenge to even show these microscopic images over the current DICOM system. In order to make improvements from this situation, this research will show ways of how to use web technology, virtual slide (VS), and RIA (Rich Internet Application) to view both images from radiology and pathology over the internet browser, so doing allows for the breaking away of the concept of traditional and limited interface and interaction systems. The design of the web is also easy for cross-systems information exchanges, and this allows for the image system to be used on any other clinical information systems with similar interface. From this, instructions of topics under radiology and pathology, research of clinical operations, and long-distance consultation can all be utilized. Not only so, the system can be set to follow the standards of the SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model), and this will allow it to build upon and standardize the contents of digitized instruction. The system can also be put on the platform of the Learning Management System (LMS), and this combination will also provide for learning interaction, tracing/follow-up, and profile management via instructional functions over the internet. none 蕭嘉宏 學位論文 ; thesis 56 zh-TW
