Accordingly, people started to value the various types of living space and require more assistance from the interior designers. As a result, the interior design industry gradually attracts many people to work in this business. In the recent years, the interior design industry has faced the attack and difficulty due to the swift change of the corporate management environment and the global economic crisis. How to realize the environment and think of the responding strategy as well as to make use of the advantage to fight for the opportunity and reduce threats and the internal weakness while facing the opportunity and threats is the necessary strategy for the corporations to improve their competitiveness. Throughout the process of the management dealing with the corporate environment change, it is known that the strategy is very important. Based on the successful strategy positioning, the company can complementary apply and analyze its internal resources (Strengths and Weaknesses) with the external environment (Opportunities and Threats) to formulate the strategy and reach the consensus. According to this strategy, the company can draft the company procedure and value chain and then draft the operation plan based on the company procedure and objective. Finally, all employees implement this plan to achieve the company’s objective. The aim of this study is to analyze and discuss the current situation of the domestic interior design industry. Further, this study proposes two design companies to conduct the value chain analysis case and uses SWOT analysis to evaluate both companies’ management strategies. Through the case study method and the in-dept interview method, this study finally comes up with conclusions and provides recommendations for references. The research analysis shows that the value chains of both companies are quite similar with a stable value chain operation. Since both companies have different development strategies and target markets, they weight differently on the prior concerns toward customer’s preference value and needs as well.
