This research has formulated package design knowledge and related unfolding algorithm for designers. The unfolding flat pattern adjusts automatically based on the thickness of paper. The system developed in this research provides an interface with two-dimension unfolding flat pattern and the tree dimensional views to help designers building and modifying carton package during the design process. Moreover, package designer can store carton designs for future references.
