Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 都市計畫所 === 98 === In recent years, for enhance the standard of education and increase learning opportunities of public education ,the government set up and reform many universities and the opening up of private universities in the university planning to set up ,making the number of domestic universities and students fast-growing. Some studies have indicated that the establishment of the university do affect region on social level, economic level, landscape level, education, culture, and even recreational level. Some studies about the impact of the development of the universities also mention that universities must be with the local community and urban planning as a whole, then, there will have a chance to tie in the university with regional development to maximize influence. 1961, Feng Chia University was established in the official at the Tatun Beitun District in Taichung City and two years later moved to its present site, Situn District, with the expansion of urban development of Taichung City, the commerce district surround campus start forming and bring a great impact to the original rural landscape. Throughout the history, this study was to explore the interactive relationship between Feng Chia University and Taichung City in the past 45 years. The research results can be used as future reference case for the development of new campus of the University.
