Over the past two hundred years, human has manufacture and consumed goods with unseen speed, unscrupulously worn out nature resource, destroyed natural ecosystem with gas, heat, and polluted water produced while manufacturing and disposing good, resulting in occurrence of extreme weather. In order to mend past destruction to the ecosystem, reconsideration should be given over the method of manufacturing. Before any decision (product) is made, evaluation should be conducted regarding to its impact on environment during manufacturing process, whether of not it’s made of recycling or degradable material, and the recycle-ability and retribution of used product. This design creation of everyday appliances in this research complies with Green Design concept’s 4R principles. Direction and elements of design are found through studying related literature and existing models, and feasibility is evaluated via experiments and design creation followed by review of resulting design in hope to acquire useful information for future reference when developing new products. The four resulting design creations include one piece of desk lamp, one piece of work lamp and two pieces of pendent lamps, and the achievement of this research are as follow: 1) Understanding of property and composition of materials. Each material has its distinctive composition. Even though aluminum, acrylic fiber and PP plastic all can be recycled, designers who carry out design creation need to experiment and test these materials repeatedly in order to acquire thorough understanding of their appropriated application and composition. 2) Bearing sustainability in mind while designing. As more attention is given to the concept of environmental design, consumers are willing to pay more for the course of environmental protection and purchase product of more austere nature. Therefore, designers are more willing to include environmental factors when they propose a new design and work with the most appropriate material and process method, which is the responsibility of all designers today.
