碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 美術學系 === 98 === The thesis focuses on the portrait, “Back Shadow.” The summary of first chapter is the research purpose, motive, content, scope and research method. Secondly, it analyzes the West classic painting “Back Shadow” step by step. Take the works of Ingres, Velasquez, Schiller, Degas, Wyeth and Dali for examples to discuss masters’ creations and drawing frames through analyzing the classic painting “Back Shadow”. Life insight is the creative inspiration for the artists. Take American realistic master, Wyeth and the member of Vienna Sezession, Schiller for examples, both of them took portraits as the creation subjects and each of them had the same emotions. The portraits were of their relatives and friends around them and two masters made brilliant records in art history by their unique painting styles. The thesis talks over the art life and creative thoughts of Wyeth and Schiller and how the painters reached the supreme artistic achievement and aesthetic expression as the main point. The self-creation faith, presentation style and skills of the author will be indicated in Chapter Four which includes the influence of paintings and creations to the author from Wyeth and Schiller. The author uses in parallel way of his self-creation works and literacy to explain the painting skills, color manifestation, drawing frame and how to follow a tradition and develop the future. At last, the author uses creation, research reflection and results as the conclusion to introspect the painting skills and creative thoughts at the present stage and future development of self-creation.
