Having a nutritious breakfast could not only refreshes our brain cells, provide us energy for a new day, but could also enhance our learning efficiency and keep our motions stable. Everyone knows the importance of balanced diet, but seldom truly act on. Family, the first stage of children’s socialization, also plays an important role while they form daily habits. As for a child’s eating habits, we consider it highly related to mother’s knowledge about nutrition, her attitude and act about diet.This research is trying to discover how does mother’s diet influence elementary student’s eating habits, and analyze modern people’s thoughts about eating with the outlook of social construction. Taking qualitative research as method, we sampled six elementary high-grade students and their mother, totally twelve people, for our subject. According to our research, we found out that people’s diet is bound up with one’s health concept, and children’s breakfast ingestion is keenly influenced by mother’s eating habit. Positive social construction and social learning can let children form correct diet principle.
