碩士 === 中華大學 === 應用統計學系碩士班 === 99 === Abstract The thesis investigates internet addiction in colleague students. Out of 300 questionnaires to colleague students, 285 were returned. Out of those, 95% was valid (278 out of 285). Statistic statement, factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis, and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis are used as analysis methods. The first section reveals three obvious internet addiction symptoms: 1) devoting more and more time and energy on it 2) stronger and stronger desire of using it 3) increasing frequency of inappropriate behaviors. The second section discusses the influences of internet addition: 1) escaping from reality and a descending life quality 2) having trouble completing tasks or homework and ill performance at school 3) isolation from family and friends and unstable emotions.
