In addition, the research also concerned the Zero Corporal Punishment Policies influenced the student affairs staff. Moreover, our research explored how to counsel and discipline students after the student affairs staff used the Zero Corporal Punishment Policies. The participants included the student affairs staff at junior high schools in Taoyuan County. We collected our research data by questionnaires, group depth interviews, and individual interviews. The results were shown below: 1. Most student affairs staff had different degrees of exact cognitions in the Zero Corporal Punishment Policies. About 60 percent of the student affairs staff understood the Policies exactly, 38 percent had approximate understanding, while 2 percent had vague understanding. 2. Most student affairs staff had a positive attitude to the Zero Corporal Punishment Policies, yet they identified the punishment under some conditions. About 25 percent of the staff completely identified the attitude of the Policies; 64 percent identified the Policies under some conditions; 11 percent opposed the Policies. 3. Most student affairs staff felt the Zero Corporal Punishment Policies may result in some negative effects. There were nearly 76 percent of the staff felt the Policies may result in some negative effects; 16 percent of them felt the Policies may result in both positive and negative effects; yet less than 10 percent didn’t believe the Policies may result in positive effects. 4. Most student affairs staff used the positive counsel policies to discipline students after taking the Zero Corporal punishment Policies. Nearly 36 percent of the staff used the positive counsel policies to discipline students; about 46 percent of the staff used both positive and negative policies, while 18 percent used negative counsel policies. 5. The student affairs staff expected the Ministry of the Education could establish the overall supplementary measures. The research provided suggestions to the student affairs staff, executive organizations, the Ministry of Education, and the following researchers.
