Description
Summary:碩士 === 開南大學 === 國際企業學系 === 99 === With environmental issues becoming more important, the LED industry has become a key green industry. This study uses the DEMATEL and the DANP (DEMATEL based ANP) methods to select competitive strategies that are best suited for Taiwan’s LED industry at the moment. First, the DEMATEL results point out that “Industry Development Needs,” “Policies and Regulations,” “Technology,” and “Product Standards & Certification” are all equally important to Taiwan’s LED industry. And the top three criteria that Taiwan’s LED industry should focus on are “Patent Licensing Cooperation,” “Market Development,” and “Personnel Training”. Second, the DANP results point out that right now Taiwan’s LED industry needs to be proactive in helping to set a global standard for LED products. However, almost all the standards for LED products are determined by countries with large domestic markets of their own. Thus if the Taiwan’s government and LED industry allow multiple standards to be created which in effect will act as entry barriers, this will adversely affect the competitiveness of Taiwan's LED industry in the short run.
