By means of field observation and Cloud Point, A three-dimensional coordinate system, the architectural features of Huacha in different periods could be inferred. The study builds on field observation collaborated with the collection of historical documents to be the first step. In doing so, it discusses the manufacturing, trading and logistics of stone masonry of Huachai Village. To analyze the architectural features of Huachai is the next step. However, the loss of senior craftsmen makes it difficult to see the whole picture of the original building method. Only pieces of the puzzle could be collected from the story told by the offspring. Therefore, field observation, interviews with the craftsmen in Dong-Ann Village and other areas of Pescadores contribute to help understanding better the immemorial architectural style built in stone. The information collected is later classified into four categories for analysis. Stonework as the main category is sorted into four sub-categories for further discussion, including foundation, floor, wall and openings. Each sub-category is carefully studied on the style, building method, material selection and the historical development of its architectural structure. Classification mechanism is properly adjusted according to the structure of the buildings, selection of materials and capability of the components. Finally, to overcome the limitation of historical documents, Cloud Point and field observation are employed to support the construction of visual images of the architecture. With the research fulfilled, it achieves the goal of the study in concluding the characteristics of the architectural structure of Huchai Village in diverse periods. And based on the findings, it is possible to analyze the age of restoration of a stone house as well as the regional distribution of the Village. Min-Fu Hsu 徐明福 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 158 zh-TW
