Hence, this research used questionnaire survey to interview visitors in Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park. A total of 427 valid samples were obtained to analyze the Visitors. There are 229 visitors, 60 seniors, 40 handicapped on wheelchair, 39 handicapped who can walk, 34 accompanied by non-spot and 25 people who accompany other people to the park. Through ANOVA analysis shows that on the motive of recreation in order to heal body and mind; the seniors, visitors and people who accompany other people to the park have more significant result than handicapped on wheel chair, especially for Seniors. As for” new knowledge learning”, the accompanied by non-spot achieves more significant result than people who accompany other people. As to barrier Free environments and facilities; people who use wheelchairs and people who accompany other people to the park both care about facilities in the park more than other groups, but less satisfied than other groups. After IPA, all visitors agree to improve the following facilities firstly: “the location and quantity of handicapped restrooms”, “the non-slip treatment of the restroom floors”, “the height of the restroom entrances and smoothness of the pavement”. If would like to reach the real requests of handicapped people then the marks of barrier-free location, convenience of barrier-free parking lot entrance, parking location of barrier-free, different height of restroom entrance, door width and inner space of restroom, width of restroom entrance, different height pavement and barrier-free entrance/exit of visitor service center (door width and threshold height) etc. should be improved and cared. Therefore, the handicapped can enjoy the right of moving as visitor. Meanwhile, also increase the quality and safety of recreation. This research aim to interview deeply with 7 handicapped on wheelchair? They all are not satisfied with the barrier-free environments & facilities in the Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park. They also suggest to set up dedicated pavements or permit handicapped motorcycles to enter for moving conveniently. And, the green areas are not enough in park that should establish multi-purposes green park to meet the different requests of different people in order to beauty the scenes of city and build one thematic Metropolitan Park. This research also adopts two methods of collective data and issues some concrete suggestions to provide the relative government offices as reference when they make up the strategies of barrier-free environments & facilities.
