The sales system and competitions of a life insurance company may have influences on agents’ achievement besides their personal characteristics such as sex, age, marital status, education level and job position. The object of this study was the annual agents for 2010 of the foreign X life insurance company. Took the data including sex, seniority, job position, area, and the average First Year Premium( FYP) of every month for agents in rating short-term competitions achievement as reference to competitions designed in the future. The results were showed as follows: 1.There were significant relations between average FYP of every month and the three short-term competitions. The higher average FYP of every month they got, the higher achievements in the competitions. 2.Female salesmen made higher achievement in the short-term competitions than male sales Agent. 3.Sales Agent working for more years made higher achievement in the short-term competitions than salesmen working for fewer years. 4.Sales Agent of higher rank made significantly higher achievement than salesmen of lower rank, especially during the competitions. 5.Sales Agent who got higher average FYP of every month made higher achievement in the short-term competitions than salesmen who got lower average FYP of every month. 6.There were no significant differences of achievement in the short-term competitions among different areas.
