Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 版畫藝術研究所 === 99 === Abstract The topic of this creative discourse is Image of Mind – Memory interpretation. The investigation of correlation between self life experiences and inner subconsciousness by pulling one self to scenes of past life through linking daily collections of newspapers, photos, stamps, toys, fabrics, and linear material. The serial explorations of memory begin with sectional frames of dreams being continuously faded out and reappeared. Though such process, many intensely interesting images have came up. By integrating the realness of images, a series of work about inner subconsciousness and memory is formulated. The completion of this creative thesis not only is a record of my own self life past experience but also has given me the thought of the factors including living environment and experiences which resulted in the current me. There are five chapters in the discourse. Chapter I: Motive and purpose, scope of thesis, methods, and interpretation of words. Chapter II: Discuss the thesis foundation using the art creation method and based on the investigation of surrealism, scenes of dreams, reflection and illusion of dreams, and freedom; also to use Sigmund Freud’s theory as the psychological base. Chapter III: The concept, content, style, and technique of expression. Chapter IV: Practice of creating series includes individual explanations of “Life Records”, “Captured Memory”, “Lost Memory”, and “Memories of Dreams”. Chapter V: Conclusion: Review and rearrange the gain of this investigation; to discover if the purpose of the discourse is reached and to determine the future direction of my works.
