Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 建築系 === 99 === This study tries to develop a general parametric design and manipulation method to create free form shapes, by applying feature adjustments and prototype transformation to specific design elements. Digit fabrication technologies were used to two common patterns, the folding and ribs shapes, for possible application and construction problems. A fast constructible shape and related parametric design method were developed after the experiments and the modifications of a series of cases. The study shows a traditional standard component system can be improved for new construction forms, by applying parametric program to components and joints. A special working pattern was developed from design to construction process to integrate the structure, construction, digital design, and digital fabrication. The working records, construction experiences, and problem-solving methods can be used as a reference for the future studies of different materials.
