After Wu, Zheng Xiang﹝鄭庠﹞ also published his researches at the same period. Hence, before many phonologists focused on the ancient rhyme study in Qing Dynasty, their works was an important contribution. However, because of the limited of materials and methods, the ancient rhyme studies were not convinced in Song Dynasty. Until Qing Dynasty, with the improving of methods and thoughts, Gu Yanwu﹝顧炎武﹞ and Jiang Yong﹝江永﹞ restudied the ancient rhyme and made some explicit rules and methods. Gu and Jiang’s researches influenced many important phonologists in Qing Dynasty, such as Duan Yucai﹝段玉裁﹞, Wang Niansun﹝王念孫﹞and Jiang Yougao﹝江有誥﹞. Those phonologists held the views on their studies and got lots achievements of the ancient rhyme study. In the present day, to describe the development of ancient rhyme study in many phonological books are always cited the Wang Guowei’s explanation (王國維,1877-1927)as an introduction. Undoubtedly, Wang’s explanation was correct. And his mention which the 22 rhyme categories was the final conclusion in Qing’s ancient rhyme study was accepted. But one century ago, the phonologist, Xia Xin(夏炘,1789-1871) had mentioned the same views. He discussed many phonologists’ studies and pointed out their advantages and disadvantages in his book. Moreover, he completely showed out the progress of the ancient rhyme study. Xia’s opinions are important and valuable to ancient rhyme study, but his researches have not got highly attention so far. Therefore, this thesis is about the Xia’s ancient rhyme studies and his theoris. none 陳新雄 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 197 zh-TW
