In the case of literature or practice, often used in construction design, develop alternative materials, processes , construction methods , design or construction , etc., to complete the pre-production of the subject matter of production, to function in the maintenance , cost reduction , results quite remarkable . But in recent years because of poor global economic boom , the domestic industry market is tight and the architectural design competition , the future of the various architectural firm , is bound to seek ways to enhance their competitiveness , in other words , did the overall function and design cost than other firms to the good , so if the overall function of maintenance, cost reduction , even to enhance the function , cost reduction , it will inevitably enhance the competitiveness of their firms , from this point of view , the importance of value engineering that is prominent. The " Value Engineering " is the product of " Functions " and " Cost" to analyze and evaluate a method , that there may Architects , the application of value engineering analysis and evaluation methods , the architectural preliminary design , design of the out of the program, function and impact on the cost ? And the impact? In this study, by way of experiment , simulating a real base case , so the experimenter who did not apply and there are two kinds of value engineering methods , respectively, to carry out preliminary building design, and by functional assessment form and Safe estimates of software for the make the design, function score and the overall cost estimates, and thus can understand the application of value engineering , the design out of the program in function and cost changes.
