Research conclusions included: The conclusions of this study are listed as below: 1. The elementary school teachers are good at discipline before zero corporal punishment legislation, and they have the highest perception on “discipline procedures”. 2. The elementary school teachers are good at discipline after zero corporal punishment legislation, and they have the highest perception on “discipline procedures”. 3. The differences in age, concurrent post, and school scale show variations in the disciplinary behaviors of elementary school teachers before zero corporal punishment legislation. 4. The differences in sex, age, post, year of service, and school scale show variations in the disciplinary behaviors of elementary school teachers after zero corporal punishment legislation. 5. There is significant difference in the disciplinary behaviors of elementary school teachers before and after zero corporal punishment legislation. 6. In spite of significant reduction in the use of corporal punishment by elementary school teachers after zero corporal punishment legislation, they adopt a negative attitude to disciplining, and still they are not in favor of total abolition of corporal punishment. Finally, based on the above conclusions, this study makes some concrete suggestions for the reference of the teachers in service and future researchers. Sheng-Ju Chan 詹盛如 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
