Methods: 65 subjects assigned to low-frequency (LF), mid-frequency (MF) and control (CG) group after determining the variables: height, weight, upper and lower-limb strength. The LF group involved 8-week’s strength training, 2 days per week, 60 minutes per day. In MF group, the subjects involved 8-week’s training, 3 days per week, 60 minutes per day. In control group, the subjects maintain normal lifestyles. After 8 weeks, we recorded the measurements again. Statistics: we used One-way ANCOVA to analyze the change of upper and lower-limb strength in three groups. If the differences between groups were significant, we would use LSD post-hot comparisons. Significant difference was set α=.05. Result: (1) in upper-limb strength: LF>CG, MF>CG (p<.05); (2) in lower-limb strength: LF>CG, MF>CG (p<.05). Conclusion: strength training had the efficacy to improve upper and lower-limb strength in older adult was recognized. CHEN HO CHENG 成和正 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |
