Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 100 === This paper presents the design of a teaching and automatic assessing system for dance learners through the 3-D motion sensing from a Kinect. A learner’s performance can be assessed in terms of accuracies in both pose and tempo during his/her dancing. On assessing the pose accuracy, the system exploits the dynamic time warping (DTW) algorithm and modifies the distance calculation for score evaluation. To assess the accuracy of the dancer’s motion tempo, the system applies the fast Fourier transform (FFT) to extract the frequency features from the acquired body motions. The system not only evaluates the dancer’s performance by outputting quantitative scores, but also identifies the learner’s incorrect articulation motions. Compared with the assessment made by human judges, the system’s assessment achieves the consistency of 84% and 77% in assessing the pose accuracy and tempo accuracy, respectively.
