Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東商業技術學院 === 資訊工程系(所) === 100 === In WiMAX, the application of multimedia and communication had gathered a great importance in recent years. In considering to provide a better quality-of-service(QoS)issue, the purpose of this study is present about high data transmission and low delay of broadband wireless access(BWA) technology based on IEEE 802.16 Standard. For achieving more flexibility video streams in multimedia transmission, the Joint Video Team(JVT) has already developed the scalable extension of the H.264/AVC standard, as well as which is combined with temporal, spatial and quality scalabilities to adapt the efficient wireless bandwidth resource. In this thesis, a cross-layer architecture for robust H.264/SVC video delivery over WiMAX network is proposed to obtain a better QoS performance and through the hierarchical B-picture approach to classify video packet into different priority. According to the video priority, the proposed method is used along with utilization rates of queues to determine the drop video packets, to provide more stable wireless bandwidth and improve the video stream quality and transmission of video stream. Finally, it is shown by NS2 simulations that the proposed method can yield a better performance for packet loss rate, image quality, packet throughput and transmission delay WiMAX network.
