A Study on Sedentary Workers' Quality of Life and Recreation Sports Participation - A Case Study on the Post Office Employees in Zhongshan Dist, Datong Dist and Songshan Dist in Taipei City

碩士 === 聖約翰科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士在職專班 === 100 === The purpose of this study is to explore both the present circumstances and the dissimilarities of the recreational sports participation of the sedentary workers and the quality of their life. Subjects of this study were composed of the employees in the post offices in Zhongshan District, Datong District and Songshan District in Taipei City. The questionnaire used in the study was composed of “Recreational Sport Participation Scale” and “WHOQOL-BREF Taiwan Version”. 269 questionnaires were distributed to the workers in the three post offices, and 249 valid questionnaires were returned and used for data analysis. The valid response rate was 92.5%.Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS software for descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and One-way ANOVA. The results of this study demonstrated that the female workers were more than male workers in the post offices in Zhongshan District, Datong District and Songshan District in Taipei City. Most of the employees in the three post offices were between 31~50 years old, married, and with kids. Besides, most of the employees in the three post offices had university degrees, worked over 10 years, and were offered salaries from 50,000 to 100,000 NT dollars per month. The score of the quality of life was 3.475. The physiological condition dimension got the highest point. The next one was the social relationship. The third one was psychological condition. The lowest one was the environment. The result showed that the quality of the physiological condition is better. However, there were not significant differences in terms of quality of life with various backgrounds of the post office employees. Moreover, there were significant differences in terms of recreational sports participation of participants with various backgrounds such as gender, age, education, marriage, years of working, and salary.
