Questionnaire survey was used to collect data in the study. Participants were selected through stratified random sampling from the school directors, team leaders, and teachers in elementary schools. There were 442 valid respondents. The data were analyzed by using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) including the average, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were drawn as follows: (1) Principals’ leadership styles reach middle-high level, and among the variables, “humanity and concern” show the highest scores. (2)Organizational climate reaches middle-high level, and among them, “alienation and isolation” show the highest scores. (3)Significant difference is found in the positions for principal's leadership styles; but no differences are found among the years of service, education level, and school size; partially significant differences exist in gender, position, and school location for principals' leadership styles. (4)Significant differences are found in positions for the organizational climate; no significant differences exist in education level for organizational climate; partially significant differences exist among the variables of gender, years of service, position, school size, and school location for organizational climate.(5)There are significantly positive correlations between principals' leadership styles and organizational climate. (6)Principals' leadership styles can be used to predict organizational climate. Finally, based on the results of study, some suggestions were made for educational administration, elementary school principals, and future studies. Lin, Hai-Ching 林海清 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 140 zh-TW |
