Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 教育研究所 === 101 ===   The purpose of the study was to understand teacher’s attitudes toward zero corporal punishment policy and classroom management effectiveness of elementary schools, meanwhile, it also aimed at analyzing the differences of teachers’ perception on teacher’s attitudes toward zero corporal punishment policy and classroom management effectiveness from various personal background and school environment variables; finial, the relationship between teacher’s attitudes toward zero corporal punishment policy and classroom management effectiveness was explored.   This research method was mainly a questionnaire survey. Stratified Random Sampling method was adapted to sample 836 teachers from 62 elementary schools in Taoyuan County and 783 valid samples were produced. Moreover, the survey data was analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple regressions. The conclusions were as the following: 1. The elementary school teacher’s attitudes toward zero corporal punishment policy in Taoyuan County was above average, especially in parenting style. 2. The elementary school teachers’ classroom management effectiveness in Taoyuan County was above average, especially in Teacher-student interaction. 3. There was significant difference in elementary school teacher’s attitudes toward zero corporal punishment policy in terms of different teacher’s position. 4. There was significant difference in elementary school teachers’ classroom management effectiveness in terms of different teacher’s position and school scale. 5. There was significantly positive correlation between teacher’s attitudes toward zero corporal punishment policy and classroom management effectiveness of elementary schools in Taoyuan County. 6. Teacher’s attitudes toward zero corporal punishment policy had significant prediction power on classroom management effectiveness of elementary schools in Taoyuan County.   Based on the research conclusions, some suggestions were proposed to the educational administrations, elementary school administrations, teachers and the subsequent researchers.
