碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 宗教學系碩士在職專班 === 101 === Abstract Since each group branch of Yiguandao fled from mainland to Taiwan, its disciples have devoted themseles to the classic tradition of the Chinese culture and extolled Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism spirit. The subject of this study is focused on Fa-yi Chong De Family Scripture Reading Education in Miaoli County. In early time, Fa-yi Chong De Family Scripture Reading Education began with the small Yikuantao hall for worshipping Buddha. Traditional scriptures were initially promoted by performing religious ceremonies or delivering courses. Various courses of traditional scripture reading are set up for different groups, like members of society, scholars and teenagers. In 2003, Chong-De Guang-Hui Global Promotion Center for Classical Education was founded by combining the recourses of seven centers and three foundations from all over the country. As a whole, this center has promoted children’s scripture reading education from the small hall to communities and schools. Advancing with the times, it converted children’s scripture reading into parent-child scripture reading and parents’ self-growth classes . Based on the needs of the society, moral education focused on filial piety has been emphasized since 2010. According to this study on Fa-yi Chong De Family Scripture Reading Education, a bottleneck was discovered when promoting parent-child scripture reading in the countryside. The author put forward three proposals for the study found. First, communities and schools ought to conclude partnership. Integration of community and school resources is essential. The advantages of parent-child scripture reading should be illustrated through school activities. This will increase the numbers of students. Second, add parent-child scripture reading into school curriculum activities. Make it become characteristics of school development. Third, combining with government policies like “National Torch Program for immigration residents” and “The Foreign Spouse Literacy Classes” is necessary to promote classic tradition of the Chinese culture. It may eliminate the cultural barriers and enhance new residents’ text language basis.
