The chronic diseases caused by obesity with the growing trends of youth which could be prevented and controlled by either caloric intake control or proper exercise would become one of the common topics in the daily life. Determining the results of personal daily calorie needs and metabolic rate with developed medical device by some health care industry would be helpful for the customers making plans of calorie intake. Recently, high value manufacturing with multifunction design and high-end technology would be the developing bearing of Taiwan`s medical device industries. Due to the requirements of medical devices for the qualities of security and effectiveness, something like development stage schedule, cost management and steps of commercialization have to be considered in the beginning of medical device design. Therefore, supply chain operations reference model and design chain operations reference model are be considered not only to evaluate the manage effectiveness of the new medical device designed for personal daily caloric intake control, but also assess a case study approach to improvement the efficiency of cross-sector cooperation of the company in this study.
