(Dewett, 2007; Perry-Smith, 2006; Shalley &; Perry-Smith, 2001).These conflicting findings have shown the moderators must exist between intrinsic motivation and innovation behavior. To resolve this inconsistent relationship, according to Grant and Berry (2011), the author takes extrinsic motivation as a moderator, and continues the study of Chi-Tung,Tsai, Chuan-Feng,Kao, Kuo-Long,Huang (2001) by taking into account three different motivations of other-oriented, self-interested, and those from external. Thus, there are five objectives in this article: First, to explore the relationship between the challengment and joyment of intrinsic motivation and innovation behaviors.Scecond, to exam the moderating effect of prosocial motivation.Third, to exam the moderating effect of extrinsic motivation. Fourth, to exam the mediating effect with the challlengment of intrinsic motivation. Fifth, to exam the moderated-mediation model. In this study, using 329 field data from service workers, and the author found that the challengment of intrinsic motivation is postive associated with innovation behaviors. Futher, the author found that both prosocial and extrinsic motivation moderated the relationship with the challengment of intrinsic motivation and innovation behaviors. And the challengment of intrinsic motivation mediated LMX and innovation behavior. Moreover, extrinsic motivation moderated this mediating effect.
