He went to Japan to study in his early years, under the influence of the acceptance of Western music.In 1936, he was honored by the Art Competition of the Berlin Summer Olympics through this orchestral work -- "Taiwan Dance". Alexander Tcherepnin(1899~1977), an American born Russian pianist who was encouraged him to changed his creation, by the turn of modern music styles of folk music creation. Jiang Wenye have strong determination to reside in China and work in the oriental music. In 1938, he went to Beijing Normal University to teach and study of Chinese traditional music. In addition to completing the discourse of"Ancient China Music Research : Music theory of Confucius" , he also re-wrote songs for " the Confucian Temple Rites " . In 1949, Jiang Wenye settled in Beijing was to continue to seek self-ethnic musical elements. But because of the relationship between political purges, he was labeled "rightist elements" label. Because of the Cultural Revolution, he was decentralized labor camps, tortured physically and mentally. In 1979, He vindicated, reply and returns honorary faculty positions. In 1983, Jiang Wenye suffered cerebral illness for many years, finally died in Beijing. This thesis is based on after 1980 based on Jiang Wenye studies, in addition to the study of his life, but also depth of his music and text writing.
