Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 體育學系在職進修碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this thesis was to explore the correlation between the professional abilities of the perception of the PE teachers and the academic motivation of junior high school students in Taichung City. The object of this study was to discuss the relationship of the professional abilities of the perception of the PE teachers and the situation of the students’ academic motivation. We investigated the junior high school students in Taichung City and the Questionnaire method was adopted in this study. The tools used in the research include “”the measurement of the professional of the perception of the PE teachers” and “ the measurement of the academic motivation in PE classes.” By using stratified random sampling method, we have collected 821 questionnaires and the recovery was 97%. All data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-Test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression analysis.The standard of significant results is set at α=.05.Several results were presented in the analyzed data: 1.The professional abilities of the perception of the PE teachers in junior high schools are above average, which shows the students have positive feedbacks toward the professional performance of PE teachers; they reach the highest in “professional skills” and the lowest in “curriculums and assessments”. 2.The motivation of learning in PE classes of junior high school students is above average, which shows the students are aggressive in learning in PE classes; it ranks the highest in “satisfaction gaining” and the lowest in “attention promotion”. 3.Among the different background variables, there are significant differences on “students’ PE grades”, “ teacher genders”, and “sizes of schools” of the professional abilities of the perception of the PE teachers in junior high schools. 4.Among the different background variables, there are significant differences on “student genders”, “habits of exercising”, “ students’ PE grades”, “ teacher genders”, and “sizes of schools” of junior high school students’ academic motivation. 5.Have high positive correlation between the professional abilities and academic motivation of the perception of the PE teachers in junior high school. 6.The professional abilities of the perception of the PE teachers can have a positive forecast of the situation of academic motivation, and “ curriculum and assessment” in particularly.
