Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 === 101 === Lecture is not always interesting to students, particularly to the design students who usually drive themselves into the learning of skill rather than knowledge, making the module “design history” in design group of senior vocational school is not attracting to the students, even though “design history” plays as an important component in entrance examination, and could give element knowledge for further design work. Therefore, the study is prompted and tries to explore the ways “design history” is taught, as well as the reasons what problems the teachers face during teaching “design history”. Four steps are packed focusing on the relationship between teaching materials and the learning. Firstly, the representative teachers working at design group of senior vocational school are suggested as the interviewees of this study. Secondly, an interview survey to these teachers was conducted. Third, five famous designers in design history are chosen, and finally, the influence from the various types of teaching materials to the students’ interesting and preference is studied. The results proposed 10 problems of teaching-learning of famous designers in design history module, and suggested 3 aspects, i.e., teacher, student and course, to summarize the 10 problems. The contributions of this paper are made by indicating the needs of innovations to the teaching materials and improvements to the course planning and conduction, with a view to enhance the learning performance.
