碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 商管專業學院 === 101 === This feasibility study and business plan explores the potential of Water Hyacinth to be converted into water purifying center and bio ethanol production. The analysis starts with exploring the different journals that tackle the problem of Water Hyacinth and then together with a questionnaire develop a feasibility study and business plan to make full use of the data. The questionnaire was distributed to South East Asian nations to pin point the most desired location for the business to start. The questionnaire and the journals helped develop the effective business plan for the said location where the feasibility study proved the best location for the business. The findings are that the best locations in South East Asia are Vietnam and Philippines with Vietnam being the first choice. In these two places, an effective business plan which showed to be profitable was established. The marketing, operations and financials of the business plan were able to be developed for a unique kind of business. The business plan consisted of establishing a facility that deals with the problem of Water Hyacinth while making secondary products like clean water and bio-ethanol. Partnerships are to be made with communities, governments and businesses to ensure the business thrives. Financials shows that there is enough potential market to sustain the expenses and make it profitable
