Description
Summary:碩士 === 吳鳳科技大學 === 消防研究所 === 101 === Radiation is one of the major effect in heat transfer. During a fire, the radiation effect can be reduced and partially controlled by a water mist system, and thus facilitate more efficient evacuation. In this study, FDS has been utilized to simulate the interaction of a fire among the fire detectors and sprinkler systems, with and without stack effect at the stairwell. In a typical apartment, if a simplified water mist system has been installed, then thermal heat can be confined effectively at the first floor and half, and maintained below 40 C with a smoke clear height of over 2 meters, with visibility over 10 meters and thermal radiation rate below 0.1KW/m2 . If the stairwell doors were opened during the evacuation, and the stack effect has been formed , then the visibility will be reduced down to 3-5 meters, while the rest of the factors are still being kept, and maintained at a tainable condition.
