The observation on general public investors often unable to look after the changes of mutual fund market, and have to rely on fund manager’s recommendations for investment distribution. But, fund manager being changed and replaced frequently and the quality and performance of the fund manager is uneven, all and all will take effects on the return of investment rating. So, the Effects of Manager’s Tenure and Seniority on Mutual Fund Performance was taken into account as a research subject. In this study, there were several factors such as fund manager’s gender, educational background, and total numbers of managing funds, and Taiwan Stock Market performance to be added for further evaluation if the mutual fund performance would be affected by those factors. This study sampled the equity funds that still existing on Taiwanese market as its objects of study, sampling until July 2013 and analyzed with regression analysis method. The conclusion was explored as follow, 1.The performance of Male fund manager is better than female fund manager. 2.The educational background and total numbers of managing funds have no influence to the fund manager’s performance. 3.A fund manager with longer tenure and seniority, and more operational experiences often imply better performance. 4.A well performed Taiwan stock broker also implies his/her well performance in mutual funds.
