| Summary: | 碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 102 === The objective of the study is to explore the current condition of Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers’ personality traits, leisure sports participation, and working stress as well as the relationships among these variables. The study used the questionnaire survey method, and the study subjects were full-time and formal staff teachers in Kaohsiung City in 2013. The research tool was the self-developed questionnaire Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers’ Personality Traits, Leisure Sports Participation, and Working Stress. After distributing the questionnaires to the respondents, a total of 283 of them were returned and valid. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 statistical program for descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s post-hoc comparisons, χ2 test, and Monte Carlo method. The results were presented below.
1. Most of the personality traits of Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers were found in the study to be Agreeableness.
2. Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers in general showed a lack of leisure sports participation.
3. Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers expressed experiencing a medium to low level of working stress.
4. A significant association was found among gender, job position, and personality traits in Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers.
5. The various background variables of Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers were found to be partially significantly associated with the teachers’ leisure sports participation.
6. The various background variables of Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers were found to have a partially significant impact on working stress experienced by the teachers.
7. There was a signficant association between personality traits and the length (short vs. long) of leisure sports participation in Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers.
8. Different personality traits of Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teachers were shown to have a significant impact on working stress experienced by the teachers.
9. Leisure sports participation of Kaohisung City Elementary School Teachers was found to have a partially significant impact on working stress experienced by the teachers
