碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 諮商與工商心理學系碩士班 === 102 === The Correlations between Shyness, Partner Dependency and Romantic Relationship Maintenance Behaviors on College Students Abstract The purpose of this research was to explore the relationship among college students’ shyness, partner dependency and romantic relationship maintenance behaviors. The research adapted the method of questionnaire, and the research instruments used were the Shyness Scale, Partner Dependency Scale and Romantic Relationship Maintenance Behaviors Scale. The participants in this study were 1410 college students, among them 819 were had romantic relationship experience. The research data were analyzed by the general statistics to test the research hypothesis with t-test, variance analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise regressive analysis. The main results were as follows: 1. Taiwan college students’ shyness current situation is medium. 2. Female college students’ shyness was higher than male’s. 3. Gender differences were not found in partner dependency. 4. Parts of gender differences were found in romantic dependency maintenance behaviors. 5. Shyness was positively with partner dependency. 6. Shyness was positively with romantic relationship maintenance behaviors. 7. Partner relationship was positively with romantic relationship maintenance behavior. 8. Best presiction variable was emtional dependency.
