Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 環境工程學系所 === 102 === A current environment issue of Emerging Contaminants has been received much attention lately. The scope includes a broad range of chemicals. The one of them are pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs). Because the PPCPs are closely related to human life and they have been detected in wastewater, they are considered major emerging contaminant. Fenton oxidation treatment is one of the advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), that it is carried out under acidic condition through hydrogen peroxide and ferrous ions in the reaction. The oxidation processes produce a high oxidizing power and non-selectivity hydroxyl radical (HO.), which can decompose a variety of organic pollutants in wastewater in the process. In the research, the application of Electro-Fenton process for the degradation of Acetaminophen (ACE) wastewater with the appropriate parameters to explore the mineralization and removal capacity was investigated. Besed on the results of background experiment, the optimal parameters for electro-generated H2O2 were at current of 1.25 A and air flow of 1.0 NL/min.Under these conditions, the maximum remnant of H2O2 was 4.83 mg/L in 180 minutes of operation. The formation rate was 0.126 mg-H2O2/min in the reaction. The results showed that, the optimal conditions for the residual rate of ACE (25.73%) were 0.05 mM of Fe2+ and 0.5 mM of H2O2 at pH 3 in the Fenton process during 90 minutes. By Electro-Fenton process with optimal parameters found in generation experiment, the ACE residual rate is 17.53% after 180 minutes using 0.05 mM of Fe2+. And under direct electrolysis system, the ACE residual rate is 82.77%. In the three process, Electro-Fenton process has the best effect of the removal rate for either ACE or COD. When using the goethite (α-FeOOH) as catalyst, the removal efficiency of ACE and COD are not significant. The removal rate of ACE and COD are only 2% and 19.4% in the Fenton process. Electro-Fenton process is also 29% of ACE removal and 8.86% of COD removal. Whether ferrous sulfate or goethite as a catalyst, Electro-Fenton process has the best processing efficiency among all.
