Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 材料科學及工程學系 === 102 === Calcium sulfate has been used as a substitute for bone defects over decades, with the
lower strength and the degradation rate in human body is too fast.
In part 1 we try to make calcium sulfate as bonetissue rebuild scaffold due to its low
strength and its chemical composition, we make a porous structure with difference
porosity, and compared them with in vitro test, and test the properties.
In part 2 we try to find out specific ratio between calcium sulfate dihydrate(CSD)
particles and calcium sulfate hemihydrate(CSH) powder that can perform good
workability and compared them with in vitro test for their properties.
In both of them, changing the manufacturing process changes the properties
obviously, scaffold with higher porosity has lower strength and dissolve faster. With
higher calcium sulfate dehydrate concentration, changes the workability, properties
and dissolve lower in SBF
Key words: calcium sulfate, porous, bio-degradable, bone cement
