Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班(EMBA) === 102 === Objectives: To investigate the correlation of the work stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and intention to quit of nurses at a medical center. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted in 2013 at a medical center in southern Taiwan. Five scales including workload scale, work stress scale, job satisfaction scale, organizational commitment scale and intention to quit scale and demographic characteristics of nurses were evaluated. Total 1075 self-completed questionnaires were distributed with returned rate 88% (945). Data were processed using the SPSS 17.0 software. Results: The results show that (1) Nurses personal attributes including age, marital status, education, seniority, work unit, duty shifts, and working pressure were significantly correlated to organizational commitment and job satisfaction. (2) Organizational commitment, work stress and job satisfaction had significantly positive correlation. Job satisfaction and intention to quit had significantly negative correlation. (3) Workload were not significantly correlated to job satisfaction.
