Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 特殊教育學系碩士班 === 102 === This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of complex sentences learning of students with the aid of the AutoTutor intervention. Subjects were fourth grade elementary students from Taichung city. The program was planned by the nonequivalent pretest-posttest design lasting for six weeks. Assessments were administered in the first and the last weeks. Experimental teaching was implemented once a week in the four weeks of the second stage. The experimental group were taught by the AutoTutor sentence teaching method while the counterpart by the traditional sentence teaching method. The results were as followed: 1. The syntax performances of students in both groups with the Autotutor intervention and traditional sentence teaching methods improved with treatment session. 2. Students receiving AutoTutor intervention perform as good as those attending traditional sentence instruction. 3. Students with different baseline language performances show significant improvement in learning dialogue types through the intervention of AutoTutor system. 4. Inducting from the feedback of questionnaires, students receiving the intervention of AutoTutor learning system show positive affirmation and learning motivation to the teaching program.
