碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 表演藝術研究所 === 102 === The influence of Jazz in Taiwan can date back to the outbreak of Korean War in 1950. When the U.S army garrisoned within the country, jazz also began to flourish with the garrison of U.S army; although with rising and falling of many during these years, however, jazz continues to grow vigorously and also domestically, due to the political reform and economic boost of Taiwan in recent years, that many foreign professional jazz players begin to come to Taiwan to perform with the advertising of media. From 2001, many large jazz festivals and jazz campus emerged, which funded by government or private sector. The domestic jazz performance groups also are increasing, among them "Sizhukong jazz band" is the most unique one. In musical creation it combines successfully our own traditional music and jazz music to develop a "New Kind of Jazz", which becomes the only jazz group of Taiwan being frequently invited overseas. In the meantime, it is also preferred by music lovers and also professionals domestically. The researcher has encountered with Jazz music since 2008, and joined the sub group of Taipei Wind Orchestra &; Symphonic Band - Taipei Jazz Orchestra to assist administrative affairs. In respect of the difficulty in running a domestic jazz group in entire performing arts market and jazz market, with "Sizhukong jazz band" as research case, I hope to analyze its reason of successful management in order to make a reference to other domestic jazz groups in Taiwan to learn. Therefore, this research, which is in the dimensions of entire performing arts environment, management , marketing strategy, and also the current situation of jazz market, is to analyze and discuss the domestic jazz performance group-Sizhukong jazz band. Through the discussions of manage model of Sizhukong jazz band, combing with correlative literature review and qualitative interviews to professionals, it would be a reference for the management of other domestic jazz groups in the future.
