The purpose of this research aims to understand the experience of forming subjective well-being and the connotation of subjective well-being of single women. We enrolled three participants through interviews. The data was analyzed by narrative analysis, and finally discussed through holistic-content and cross-narrative thematic analysis The results of this study are as follows: (A) There were twists in the experience of forming subjective well-being for single women although by different ways. The methods were about processing of establishing boundaries with significant others and processing of dependency to independence. Then they obtained well-being of single after owning independent mental space. They uses their resource to help themselves from hard times to subjective well-being. Work plays an important role in their single lives. (B) The subjective well-being conformation experience of single women was influenced by cognitive evaluation, community resources and social culture. (C) The connotation of well-being of single women includes six major parts: (1) Economic autonomy (2) Freedom of single status (3) Occupational level: devotion and sense of accomplishment (4) Emotional level: emotional communication, a sense of belonging, their good relations to inner self.
