Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系(所) === 102 === The study aimed to comprehend the current situations of teacher professional development, teaching effectiveness and work stress of elementary school teachers in Taitung County and to analyze the differences of teachers with diverse background variables. The study adopted questionnaire survey, and teachers of public elementary schools in the academic year of 2013 acted as the population of the survey. 420 teachers of 32 schools were sampled to receive the questionnaire survey. 398 questionnaires were retrieved, and 386 of them were considered valid with an availability ratio of 91.9%. Data obtained for the study was analyzed and handled with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and stepwise multiple regression. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions were as follows: 1.The entire perception of teacher professional development, teaching effectiveness and work stress reached middle-high level. 2.Teachers with different positions had significantly different perception of teacher professional development. 3.Teachers with different age, educational background and length of service had significantly different perception of work stress. 4.The teacher professional development and teaching effectiveness reached positive correlation. 5.The teacher professional development and work stress reached positive correlation. 6.The teaching effectiveness and work stress reached positive correlation. 7.The teacher professional development and teaching effectiveness had predictability toward work stress, and teacher-student relationship and interaction had the best predictability. In conclusion, the study proposed suggestions for educational administration organizations, schools, teachers and future researchers to refer to based on its research results.
