The researcher has been playing erfu for more than 10 years and encountered pieces of different ages and styles, but still has special interest in Warm Spring Water, selected as the main repertory of his formal concerts many times. Gradually, he further grew interest in the composing style and background of the composer. Through the direct interview with the composer Fuzai Jin, the investigation of composer’s background and composing methods, and the analyses as well as data selection towards the piece, the researcher concluded and provided his aspect of interpretation to be a reference for the future performers. The researcher expected to have deeper comprehension of Fuzai Jin’s compositions through the researching process, which will be a reference for erhu performers while doing interpretation or study. It is also expected to help composers clarify Fuzai Jin’s composing methods and provide a little dedication for the development of erhu music.
