| Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 廣播電視電影學研究所(含碩專班) === 102 === Currently there are more than 800 thousands immigrants and migrant worker in Taiwan.They are pooling more effort than others to adapt into the life in Taiwan in various aspects – family, school, society. One of the most difficult part should be the understanding of language, as the language barrier which create misunderstanding with their family and employees.Hence the initial of broadcasting the ASEAN Native languages programs give the chances to help the immigrants and migrant worker to adapt easier to the society, ease their work pressures and nostalgia.How do the ASEAN languages broadcast contribute? What are their purposes and motivations has been used in this paper in listening to the native language program?
Three main methods: 1.The Questionnaire Survey. 2.Focus group interview .3 In-depth Interview to study the Taiwan New Immigrants and migrant worker behavior and actions after listening to the RTI Vietnamese programs.The study concluded below three conclusions:
1. RTI Vietnamese’s program is the main source of learning and information for immigrants and migrant worker.
2. RTI Vietnamese’s program is the place where their soul is fed and is the main discussion topics among themselves.
3. The New Immigrants wish to have the Vietnamese TV channel to offer the news and policy of Taiwan government towards the new immigrants and migrant worker, news on Vietnam their home country, culture and Vietnamese teaching programs to ease their nostalgia and offer the learning information to their second generation to understand their origin culture and language where they could be proud of and know more where their mother are from.
