Description
Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 金融與風險管理系碩士班 === 102 === In recent years, due to difficult situation of the economy and the restructuring of banks, a large number of changes in human resources of the Vietnam banking system have been recorded and impacted the planning of banks’ human resources. Therefore, main aim of this research is to identify the determinants of job satisfaction of banks’ clerks working with a leading bank in Vietnam as well as to measure their overall job satisfaction. This research applies the Job Descriptive Index (JDI) which was officially introduced in 1969 by Smith, Kendall, and Hulin and has since become the “gold standard” of job satisfaction scales (Landy, Shankster, & Kohler, 1994). The JDI measures satisfaction perceptions for five job facets, namely: pay, promotions, supervision, co-workers and the work itself (Spector, 2000). The sample of this research included 215 banks’ clerks selected randomly working in Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank. The findings of this research have showed that all five job facets have significant relationships with overall job satisfaction and the partial correlation coefficients are from 0.412 to 0.713. This research implicated that the managers of the bank must understand key job facets influencing job satisfaction among banks’ clerks in its drive towards effective human resources management practices.
