To achieve the research purposes , we take public elementary school homeroom teachers in Taoyuan City 62 as research subjects. With literature analysis, questionnaires and interviews to refer and adjust, it came out the " elementary school homeroom teacher job stress and organizational commitment questionnaire " as a means to process the research. To gather information for the statistics analysis like T test, single-factor analysis of variance(ANOVA), Scheffe’s post hoc test and Pearson correlation, it finally came out the results, conclusions and recommendations. The main conclusions are as follows: First, elementary school homeroom teachers felt moderate job stress in "students’s parents pressure" subject to the greatest extent, "interpersonal relationships" , the least extent. Second, elementary school homeroom teachers felt moderate organizational commitment in "willingness to make efforts" subject to the greatest extent, "organizational identification", the least extent. Third, different background variables showed no significant differences in work stress for elementary school homeroom teachers. Fourth, different background variables showed no significant differences in organizational commitment for elementary school homeroom teachers. Fifth, it was moderately negative and correlated between elementary school homeroom teacher job stress and organizational commitment and they are significant differently. It was also partly modestly and moderately negative and correlated at various levels. According to the findings, this study proposed recommendations on the education administration and to the homeroom teachers to improve the elementary school homeroom teacher job pressure and organizational commitment as references.
